Secondly, Katie taught me how to crochet in the Tunisian or Afghan style. The project I used this on was her DIY Tunisian Square post, in which she teaches the dear reader how to make reusable, cotton eye makeup removing squares. These are so excellent, and her instructions are so clear. I have used my squares for the last 3 days, and besides saving cotton balls from being wasted, they feel luxurious and are great at removing makeup. Now I can't wait to Tunisian up everything!(the name makes me a little sad, because it reminds me of the unrest and struggle in the the Middle East) So, in closing, if you haven't yet checked out I go by Katie, you really should! Here are how my Eye Makeup Squares turned out.

That looks so pretty! I would love to try these! It's funny, I learned to crochet in college, but soon after I got addicted to knitting, and now I don't remember how to crochet anymore. Now is the time to learn though! Perhaps if I start a project now it will be done by the time sweater season comes around :) Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteTunisian crochet is kind of similar to knitting. You have all the stitches on your hook at points in the process. I love the quickness of crochet. I feel like I get a lot more bang for my crocheting buck, haha, if that makes any sense.
ReplyDeletethose look really soft! I have to go check those out!
ReplyDeletethey really are great! I've even got my Mom using some!
